Counter Worker (Bilingual - English/Spanish)

Job Summary:

Glam-O-Rama Cleaners is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Bilingual Counter Worker to provide excellent service to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish to ensure smooth communication with customers. The Counter Worker is responsible for greeting customers, processing orders, handling transactions, and ensuring that garments are properly tracked and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in both English and Spanish with a positive and helpful attitude.
• Receive garments from customers, tag them, and ensure proper documentation for dry cleaning and laundry services.
• Inform customers about services offered, including cleaning options, fabric care, and pricing, ensuring clear communication in both languages.
• Process payments (cash, credit, debit) and handle the cash register.
• Prepare orders for pickup, ensuring all items are clean, pressed, and correctly packaged.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters and storage areas.
• Communicate with the cleaning team to ensure garments are processed according to customer requests.
• Track customer orders using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a professional demeanor and delivering high-quality service.

Shifts Available:

• Monday - Friday:
  • 7:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
• Flexibility to work either shift is preferred.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (required).
• Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a POS system.
• Excellent communication skills and professional appearance.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle light physical work (lifting up to 15 lbs).
